EKIN MADEN TIC. VE SAN. A.S. was established in 1982, as Turkey’s leading company, mainly working in the area of exporting lead, zinc, copper and chrome ores and concentrates and importing lead, zinc, aluminium metals and copper cathodes.
EKIN MADEN’s annual turnover is about 400,000,000 USD. The company’s approximate annual trade figures are as follows:
Import : 300,000,000- 350,000,000 USD
Export : 35,000,000 – 50,000,000 USD
EKIN MADEN has about 80% of the market share in the sales of the above mentioned imported products to the local market.
EKIN MADEN TIC. ve SAN. A.S.: Purchases/sells the above mentioned metals & concentrates (which are usually shipped to/from Bulgaria, Romania, C.I.S., Italy, India, China, USA, etc.) from/to international trading companies such as GLENCORE INT. AG, KCM S.A, LEAD & ZINC COMPLEX PLC, ZINIFEX, TRANSAMINE, etc.
It acts as a trader, in addition, finances all the mines located at various regions in Turkey, all through the production stage of the ores and concentrates.
EKIN MADEN’s head office with its staff of 45 persons is located on the European side of Istanbul, namely in Maslak – known to be the city’s business center – in the same building with Ber-oner Madencilik A.S.. EKIN MADEN also has a branch office in Ankara, the capital city of Turkey. |
